Who we are

medrics is a trading name of MEDRICS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 16046579), registered office 4 St. Martins Drive, Priorslee, Telford TF2 9WE. Contact: info@medrics.co.uk. By using the portfolio or the app, attending a session, joining membership, booking the office or using a member service, you agree to these terms. Nothing in them reduces the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

The free portfolio and the app

The portfolio shortcuts and the Locum Manager app are free and run entirely on your own devices: your documents are processed locally and stay yours (see the privacy doctrine). The app is provided as-is during the beta: we work hard on correctness and every figure links back to your own documents so you can check it, but you're responsible for verifying outputs before you rely on them, and for backing up your own computer. The app never deletes your source documents.

Tax features are software, not tax advice

The expense finder and any claim-drafting feature compute suggestions from your own records, with the relevant HMRC guidance cited line by line so you can check each one. medrics is not a tax adviser or an HMRC agent, never files on your behalf, and never receives your refund. You review every line, you make the declaration, and you submit from your own HMRC account. The accuracy of what you submit is, in law, your responsibility as the declarant. If your affairs are complex, use an accountant.

Forms and sign-off

When an assessor signs a form on your device, or through a link you send them, they do so in an educational capacity: it records their assessment of the case you chose to share. Where a reviewer gives written feedback through the assessor service, that is structured educational review. It is not clinical supervision, not an employment or performance reference, and not a guarantee that any appraiser, college, deanery or the GMC will accept the evidence. Assessors act in good faith on the single item you chose to share; whether and how you use the result is your decision. The signed record is yours and lives in your own portfolio.

Teaching and CPD certificates

Certificates state the hours and learning outcomes of the session you attended and are issued by medrics after you complete the feedback form; there is no external accrediting body. How CPD evidence is weighed is ultimately a matter for your appraiser and college. Sessions are free during the beta programme; if a session ever carries a price, it is shown before you register and these terms apply to it.

Membership

Membership is a monthly subscription at the price shown on the membership page, billed by card through Stripe. It starts when we set you up and renews each month until you cancel. The free portfolio never depends on it: if membership lapses, the member features pause and your portfolio and your data are untouched.

• Cancel any time. Email info@medrics.co.uk or use the link in your Stripe receipt. Membership runs to the end of the month you've paid for and is not charged again.
• 14-day cooling-off, with a full refund. You can cancel within 14 days of joining and we refund the payment in full, even if you asked us to set you up straight away and have used the features. After 14 days there is no refund for the part-month, and nothing more is charged once you cancel.
• If it doesn't work as described, tell us. We fix it, and if we can't fix it within a reasonable time we refund the period it didn't work.
• Price changes are emailed to you at least 30 days before they take effect, so you can cancel first.

Office bookings

The Oxford office is booked by the day, on request, and every new booker is approved personally. Nothing is charged until you have accepted a written confirmation of the dates, the price and the cancellation terms for that booking; payment is then by a Stripe card link. The space is for lawful, professional use; you are responsible for your own equipment and for leaving the room as you found it.

Services for NHS trusts

The patient-information review is supplied to a trust under a written order or invoice that states the price and the period. Where that order and these terms differ, the order wins. Reports describe a trust's own published pages and are provided for the trust's use; they contain no patient data and no clinical judgement.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Beyond that, to the extent the law allows: the free portfolio, the app and the beta services are provided without warranty, and our total liability in connection with any paid service is limited to the fees you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

These plain-English terms will get a formal legal review as the service grows; the plain-English version will always remain the one we point people at. The formal notice of what personal data we hold is the privacy notice.
